German Jewry is amazed by the fact that the great German Centre Party, to which the present Chancellor, Heinrich Bruening, belongs, has begun an anti-Semitic agitation in connection with the forthcoming Reichstag elections. The “Deutsche Tageszeitung,” the organ of Dr. M. Stegerwald, parliamentary leader of the German Centre Party, has published an article attacking the Social Democratic Party because of its Jewish leaders.

The article says that: “The leaders of the Social Democrats are Jews and that is why they are aiming at the destruction of German industry and, at the same time favoring financiers and bankers who are chiefly Jews.”
