Dr. Drummond Shiels, British under-secretary for the Colonies, is expected to leave for Palestine, September 19, to make a study of local conditions. While in Palestine Dr. Shiels will meet the representatives of the different sections of the populace and will be the guest of Sir John Chancellor, the High Commissioner.

It is expected that in light of Sir John Simpson’s report on problems of immigration, land settlement and development in Palestine and the information that Dr. Shiels may obtain during his tour it may be possible to work out a policy that will result in the establishment of more harmonious relations between the Jews and the Arabs.
