To prove its point, the Shtern brings to light the interesting fact that 17 of 42 Jewish school children in Charkov who were asked to fill out an anonymous questionaire on the question of whether they believe in God unhesitatingly answered in the affirmative. This, the Shtern says, should “serve as an indication as to how we stand with the Jewish youth.”
