A regional conference of Zionist workers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware for the purpose of revitalizing Zionist effort in this part of the country will take place all day Sunday, November 16, according to an announcement made today by Rabbi Max D. Klein, chairman of the Philadelphia branch of the Zionist Organization of America. The announcement followed a conference of the officers of the Philadelphia branch held today at the call of Jacob de Haas, national secretary.
This conference was held in the private chambers of Judge William M. Lewis at City Hall and was attended by Judge William M. Lewis, Rabbi Max D. Klein, Jacob Ginsburg, editor and publisher of the Jewish World; Louis E. Levinthal, William B. Leaf, Jacob B. Hoffman, Leon Meltzer and Benjamin L. Rubinsohn, chairman of Region 4, United Palestine Appeal. Mr. de Haas reviewed briefly the reorganization work taking place in the various parts of the country and called upon Philadelphia leaders to take the initiative in a similar movement here. Invitations to attend this regional conference will be sent to representatives of some thirty communities
