Warburg Sees Hope for N. Y. Community Chest

Felix M. Warburg, chairman of the board of trustees of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, speaking before a luncheon of the business men’s council of the Jewish federation at which Catholics and Protestants participated, Thursday, urged the cooperation of all faiths in the fight against unemployment “without reference to color, race or creed.”

In introducing the various non-Jewish speakers, Mr. Warburg said, “The presence of these gentlemen here gives us hope that some day we may see a real community chest in New York, in which all denominations will join in raising all funds needed for New York City’s philanthropies. It is my hope that out of such meetings as this a real community chest will grow.”
