Cincinnati (Dec. 15)
Thousands of Jewish laymen and their families gathered Sunday evening, Dec. 16, in a number of cities throughout the country for simultaneous celebrations of the advent of Chanukah or the Hebrew Feast of Lights, an eight-day holiday.
The twelve Men’s Clubs of Greater Chicago held their banquet in the new Sholom Temple. Speakers included Rabbi William H. Fineshriber of Philadelphia and Hon. Irwin Stalmaster of Omaha, Neb. Sol Heller directed a special choir.

The three brotherhoods there heard Rabbi Morris M. Feuerlicht of Indianapolis and Arthur L. Reinhart, Cincinnati, of the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods.
