Chancellor Rejects Plea to Appoint Jewish Judge

High Commissioner Chancellor today told a Jewish delegation that he saw no reason for supporting their demand that a Jew be appointed to fill the vacant judgeship in the northern district court. The post was formerly filled by a Jew who has resigned.
