Mayor James Rolph Jr., governor-elect of California, has appointed a committee of leading citizens to extend the city’s welcome to Prof. Albert Einstein when he arrives here January 3rd on his way to Pasadena. Cooperating in the welcome is the Board of Jewish Ministers of Northern California of which Rabbi Elliot M. Burstein is chairman. That body will present him with a suitable token.
Among those named on the mayor’s welcoming committee are Supervisor Jesse C. Colman, Recorder Edmond Godchaux, Mrs. M. S. Koshland, Mrs. Sigmund Stern, Mortimer Fleishhacker, and Raymond Dannenbaum, publisher of The Jewish Journal.
