A statement to the press by the Confederation of Mexican Chambers of Commerce denounces the story published in a tabloid here to the effect that the Jews are detrimental to the commerce and industry of the republic. The Chambers of Commerce statement declares that the Jews of Mexico are advantageous to Mexico in the business field and praises them as ethical, honorable, enterprising and excellent citizens. “The Confederation is proud,” the statement reads, “to have Jews among the members of the Chambers of Commerce in the Confederation for they give prestige to the organizations with which they are associated.”
