The thirty-second annual convention of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, the oldest Jewish college fraternity of the Pan-Hellenic group, which has a membership of five thousand divided in thirty-two chapters, opened yesterday at the Hotel Jefferson with Senator James Reed of Missouri as the chief speaker. The convention will close on Tuesday.
Judge William S. Evans of New York, National President of Zeta Beta Tau, is presiding at the convention sessions. This fraternity annually awards the Gottheil Medal to an American who performs an outstanding service. Julius Rosenwald and Felix Warburg have been among those who have received the medal.
