The gates of Angola, Portugese African colony, may be thrown open to Jewish immigration, particularly artisans, if the report that Poland has purchased Angola is confirmed. The usually well-informed Cracow Illustrowany Courier, an organ close to government circles, declares that the purchase was completed recently in Lisbon.

Once before Angola was suggested as a place for Jews to settle. Since there is a shortage of tailors, shoemakers, and cabinetmakers in Angola it is expected that Poland’s assumption of the rule of Angola will throw open that colony’s gates for immigration of Jews in those trades.
