Palestine High Commissioner Pays Tribute to Jewish Agriculture in Palestine: First Meeting of New Pa

Jewish agriculture in Palestine was paid a warm tribute to-day by the High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor, the J.T.A. understands, when he spoke at the first meeting of the new Agricultural Council appointed recently by the Government. Dr. Schlesinger took the place on the Council of Dr. J. L. Magnes, the Chancellor of the Hebrew University, who has left for the United States. The proceedings were private, but the J.T.A. learns that the Committee sketched out a field of enquiry. The Jewish members of the Council, it is further understood, are in a majority on the sub-committees appointed.
