Professor Cuza has sent an appeal to all his friends that they should see to it that the forthcoming Congress called for March 8th., of the League of National Christian Defence, of which he is President, should pass without disorder, the “Lupta” here discloses to-day. He has asked them all to take measures to maintain order during and after the Congress, and to work peacefully for the good of the Roumanian people, it writes. This is a new attitude of Cuza’s, the “Lupta” comments, and we wish that he will be able to carry through his intentions. It suggests that Cuza is going to break with Codreanu and the other leaders of the Iron Guard, who have been organising terrorism. The whole country hopes that it is true that Cuza has given up his old terroristic ideas.
