Dr. Weizmann’s policy of understanding with the British Labour Government was attacked to-day at the All-Polish Conference of the Et Livnoth Party, by the principal speakers, Dr. Gottlieb, Mr. Leon Levite, former President of the Polish Zionist Organisation, and Mr. Joseph Heftman, who also complained of the lack of understanding for the needs of middle-class colonisation in Palestine, and called for action to put a stop to the division in the ranks of the General Zionists. About 80 delegates are attending the Conference.

A number of other speakers defended Dr. Weizmann’s policy and demanded that the Et Livnoth should return to the Polish Zionist Party Council from which it seceded last month together with the Revisionists as a protest against the representation of the Polish Zionists on the Political Commission of the Jewish Agency. As a result of the secession, the Zionist Party Council consists at present only of the representatives of the Al Hamishmar party, whose leader, Deputy Gruenbaum, is a member of the Political Commission.
