140 undesirable aliens, including several Jews, were deported this week from the United States.

The actual deportation of approximately 15,000 aliens annually after great hardships, is violating the plainest dictates of humanity, says the official report of the Wickersham Commission which was appointed to investigate the activities of the immigration officials in the United States.

The report of the Wickersham Commission alleges that methods similar to those of the Spanish Inquisition are being practised by the American Immigration officials at Ellis Island. “The unconstitutional, tyrannical and oppressive methods are employed in the examination annually of about 100,000 aliens, the report says.
