The League of Nations Conference on Calendar Reform meets on October 12th. and even the United States Government has appointed a delegate, Dr. C. F. Marvin, to the Conference, the “Manchester Guardian” writes in an editorial to-day and proceeding to deal with the blank-day proposal which the Jews oppose, it says:
“The sun will not obey even the League of Nations Conference on Calendar Reform. Scripture has ordained a seven-day week. Months only are variable, and by the manipulation of months but little rearrangement of the year is possible”.
