Moscow (Sep. 11)
All the Moscow synagogues were packed to-night for the Rosh Hashanah services. The great majority of the worshippers were old and middle-aged, however, and there were very few young people present. The attendance who, nevertheless, so big that owing to the lack of synagogues it was necessary to have two services one immediately after the other, to enable all to participate.
About 5,000 Jews are estimated to have attended the anti-religious meetings organised to-night in several of the Moscow factory clubs and artisans halls.
