Jewish School Children in Poland Faint of Hunger at Their Desks Says Appeal by Yiddish and Hebrew Sc

Children are fainting for hunger at their desks in the schools of the Yiddishist School Organisation Zicho, the Tarbuth Hebrew School Organisation and the Talmud Torahs, says an appeal which the three organisations concerned have addressed to the Joint Distribution Committee, asking it to resume the practice of supplying free meals for the children attending their schools. The head of the Joint Distribution Committee Office in Warsaw has promised to get into immediate touch with Dr.Bernhard Kahn, the European Director of the Joint Distribution Committee, so that urgent action can be taken in this direction.
