Anti-Jewish students disturbances are brewing again at Vienna University, but the authorities have taken prompt action, and despite the aggressive attitude of the Nazi students, no trouble has occurred to-day.
Nazi students occupied the University halls to-day, distributing proclamations demanding the enforcement of a numerus clausus against the Jewish students. The Rectorate immediately announced that no disturbances would be allowed, and the day has passed off quietly.
Serious antisemitic rioting took place at Vienna University last November and December. The trouble was started by the decision of the Supreme court declaring that the student rights granted to the antisemitic student organisations were illegal. For a time there was a numerus nullus effected at the University by violence, Jewish students finding it impossible to enter the University.
