Mr. Nahum Sokolov, the President of the Zionist World Organisation and the Jewish Agency, Sir Norman Angell, who will address a number of meetings on behalf of the Keren Hayesod Campaign in the United States which Mr. Sokolov is heading, and Rabbi Meir Perlin, the leader of the Mizrachi World Organisation, arrived to-day on board the “Majestic”. They were met at the pier by Rabbi Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Judge Julian W. Mack, Mr. Emanuel Neuman, and Mr. Robert Szold.

Speaking with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency representative, Mr. Sokolov said that the inner situation in the Zionist ranks has been consolidated, but the rehabilitation of the Palestine work has been greatly affected as a result of the economic world crisis.

Sir Norman Angell said to the J.T.A. representative: If there is anything in the principle of nationalism, I cannot understand why the world should not give the Jews an opportunity to be a part of the chain of nationalities in the world.

Rabbi Meir Berlin, who has just returned from South Africa, where he spent several months in propaganda work, told the J.T.A. representative that he had found antisemitic sentiments evident in South Africa and gaining in power, and the Jews are affected by the crisis there no less than in the European countries.
