The movement for establishing a Pro-Palestine Committee in the United States, initiated by Mr. Emanuel Neuman, the American member of the Zionist World Executive, in connection with which it was announced a few days ago (in the J.T.A. Bulletin of Dec. 24th.) that an important group of Senators and Congressmen is formulating a project which will be of the utmost significance to the rehabilitation of the Jewish National Home in Palestine, is carried a step further to-day by information obtained by the J.T.A. that Mr. Curtis, the Vice-President of the United States, who was the prime mover in bringing about the adoption in 1922 by the United States Senate of the resolution in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a National Home for the Jewish people, has invited Mr. Emanuel Neuman and Professor Felix Frankfurter, who was one of the representatives of the Zionist cause before the Peace Conference in Versailles in 1919, to address a select group of Senators, Congressmen and high Government officials on the question of Palestine and Zionism, at a gathering which is to be held in Washington during the present month.

Vice-President Curtis is at the head of a distinguished committee which is issuing the invitations for the gathering.

The Jewish press is today full of praise for the efforts made. by Mr. Emanuel Neuman in Washington for several months past to bring about a better understanding of the Zionist aims among the most important legislators in the United States, and to enlist their support for the Jewish work in Palestine, which are now bearing fruit, indicating a renewal of interest in Palestine affairs on the part of official America.
