We, the Coverning Body of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, on behalf of its members belonging to many different countries, says a message issued to-day by the World Union for Progressive Judaism, wish to express our earnest hope for the success of the Conference on Disarmament. We believe that vast competitive armaments tend to stimulate the war spirit, and have therefore a retarding influence on the progress of mankind. As adherents of the faith which first taught the universal Fatherhood of God and the ideal of international peace, we earnestly hope that the Conference will be able to evolve a policy and practical programme which will promote permanent peace between all nations.
