Hitlerist Menace to Jews Condemned at American Goodwill Meeting of Jews and Christians: Ex-minister

A formal resolution condemning the Hitlerist menace to the Jews was adopted to-day at the conclusion of a three days’ session at Washington of the National Goodwill Conference on Jews and Christians, in which Jewish, Protestant and Catholic spokesmen participated. Mr. Roger W. Straus, co-Chairman of the Conference and a leading Jewish worker in the Goodwill Movement, presided.

The resolution was moved by Rev. S. McRea Covert, the General Secretary of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America, and seconded by Mr. Newton D. Baker, the ex-Secretary of War.
