Reception for Delegates to World Jewish Conference

The officers and Administrative Committee of the American Jewish Congress are tendering a farewell reception to the delegates to the forth-coming Sessions of the World Jewish Conference at Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday evening, July 18th, at 8:15 o’clock in the Basildon Room of the Waldorf-Astoria.

The American delegation to the Sessions includes representatives of the Zionist Organization of America, the Independent Order Brith Abraham, United Roumanian Jews of America, Mizrachi Organization, Federation of Polish Jews in America, and Hadassah Organization.

The following delegates have already left for Geneva or will depart within the next few days: Professor Salo Baron of the Department of Jewish History and Literature at Columbia University; Abraham H. Cohen, Executive Director of the American Jewish Congress; Bernard S. Deutsch, President of the Congress; Mrs. Bernard S. Deutsch, Treasurer of the Women’s Association of the American Jewish Congress; Hon. Mark Eisner, member of the Administrative Committee of the American Jewish Congress and Chairman of the Board of Higher Education of Greater New York; Jacob Fishman, Managing Editor of the “Jewish Morning Journal”; Abraham Goldberg, Vice-President of the American Jewish Congress; Rabbi Joshua Goldberg, rabbi of the Astoria Center of Israel; Rabbi B. Leon Hurwitz, rabbi of Congregation B’nai Sholaum, the Ninth Street, Temple, Brooklyn; Miss Jennie Jelin of Hadassah; Laurence N. Levine, construction engineer and bridge builder; Sidney Matz of Brooklyn; Manuel S. Sachs, Chairman of the American Jewish Congress Committee of New Haven; Herman Speier, Secretary of the United Roumanian Jews of America; Zelig Tygel, Secretary of the Federation of Polish Jews in America; Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, Chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Congress; Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Honorary President of the Congress; Mrs. Stephen S. Wise, President of the Women’s Association of the Congress; Rabbi Wolf Gold, President of the Mizrachi Organization of America; Baruch Zuckerman. Vice-President of the Congress; Rabbi Ephraim E.
