Trial of Peasants Accused of Looting Shops and Homes

The trial of thirty peasants of the village of Baletcheanu accused of attacking Jewish inhabitants and looting the shops and homes of more than 100 Jewish families in 1930 opened here today.

The trial is expected to last four days. One hundred and fifty witnesses will be called.
