A delegation representing the Jewish Agency Executive and the Palestine Jewish National Council made representations to the High Commissioner today regarding the projected education ordinance.
The delegation asked that the High Commissioner amend those paragraphs which infringe upon the autonomy of the Hebrew schools and that the government subvention to these schools be increased.
The High Commissioner took the matter under advisement and promised to give his answer shortly.
