Rev. Zaludkowski to Succeed Roitman in New York

Rev. Elijah Zaludkowski, for the past five and a half years cantor of Congregation Shaarey Zedek, of which Dr. A. M. Hershman is rabbi, announced his resignation and his plans to leave for New York to succeed Cantor David Roitman at the Shaarey Zedek on 93rd Street and Broadway in New York.

During his stay in Detroit, Rev. Zaludkowski completed a number of compositions and was director of the Halevy-Hazomir Singing Society. Prior to coming to Detroit he held positions as cantor in Warsaw, Vilna, Rostoncn-Don and Liverpool. In Rostov he was for four years professor of music at the Russian Royal Conservatory.
