Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:

As a constant reader of your most valuable Jewish Daily Bulletin, I was most chagrined with the remarks of Dr. Herman Kaufman of Hamburg in the issue of July 21, 1932.

It is most regrettable that a fellow Jew should publicly express himself disparagingly about his own people. His utterances could easily be attributed to Herr Hitler and his henchmen. It is Jews of the type of Dr. Kaufman who are our greatest menace. I wonder what Herr Dr. Kaufman’s reaction would be if, by some strange prank of fate, he woke up some morning to find himself an Ostjude as the western Jews of Posen did.

DORA POLEVSKI GLEICHER.

Newark, N. J., July 22, 1932.
