The 28th annual meeting of the Jewish Consumptives Relief Society heard a report from its treasurer showing a diminution of receipts from contributors as a result of the economic depression. The trustees have instituted economies so as to keep the credit of the institution unimpaired and on a level with the budget. At the same time, there is to be no deviation from the previous standard of the maintenance of the patients, as regards food, shelter and medical attention.
Bronze plaques were placed in the Medical Building, commemorating the services of the late Dr. Adolph Zederbaum, Dr. O. M. Shere and Dr. A. S. Taussig, who served successively as chairmen of the Medical Advisory Board. At a meeting of the Board of Trustees, the present officers of the Society were re-elected for another year.
