The anti-Semitic weekly, “Le Miroir,” again devotes the greater part of its latest issue to a series of new and malignant accusations against the Jews. Across the first page of this sheet is the headline “Jews are Dishonest” and in the following article the Jews are brand-marked as smugglers, white slavers, usurers, incendiaries and responsible for every other crime under the sun.
The article also lays claim that 88% of all the commissars and officials in Soviet Russia are Jews and states that “since the Jews have abandoned their Jehovah for the Golden Calf” it has become their second natures to be dishonest and corrupt and that is the reason why they are hated and despised and have been driven out from various countries. The French Canadians are therefore warned not to have anything to do with the Jews.
The same issue carries the concocted stories concerning Weizmann, former president of the World Zionist Organization, and Karl Radek, communist leader of Soviet Russia.
About the Zionist leader, the paper states: “From the London post office directory we gain the information that Dr. Chaim Weizmann has hidden his identity under the English name of Charles instead of the Hebrew Chaim (which should doubtless be Cain).
“This Weizmann is a Polish Jew, born in Motele, Poland. He is the direct successor of Asher Ginsberg (Achad Haam) the author of the ‘Protocols’, and is the most dangerous Jew alive today in the whole world. He is recognized as the uncrowned King of the Jews.”
After this the paper refers to the Soviet delegation in Geneva and says: “The Jewish dictators of Soviet Russia are represented at the World Disarmament Conference by three of their own kin. We have already told about the deviltry of the chief of the delegation. Litvinov-Lunacharsky, whose head is sought by the governments of various countries, but whose diplomatic rights make him inviolable. The second member of the Soviet delegation is Radek-Sobelson, whose first name implies thief. The mother of this Soviet emissary was the owner of a house of prostitution in Charkov and it is there where “the thief” saw the first light of day.”
The “Le Miroir” also informs its readers that the first World Congress of anti-Semitic chiefs will be held this week in a city of central Europe. The patriotic order of the “Goglus” will be officially represented and important resolutions will be considered for a united front against international Jewry. The deputy speaker of the Canadian Parliament, Armand La Vergne, is again represented in this week’s publication. He takes issue with an American Jew, S. H. Livingston of Lancaster, Pa., who wrote him in reference to his connection with the anti-Semitic campaign. In his reply to Mr. Livingston the Canadian deputy again states that he is not an anti-Semite but as far as the blood ritual accusation is concerned it has been proved by historic authentic facts and he bases his belief on those “facts.”
The Jewish Alderman Berl Schwartz, whom the anti-Semitic publication nicknames “Matzohblood” Schwartz, is again under fire for demanding in the City Council police action against the distribution of the anti-Semitic stickers which, according to an announcement in the very same issue are being printed in the plant of the Goglu publications and are being sold for the purpose of anti-Semitic propaganda.
The Goglus have gained an ally in the “Guide,” a publication printed in St. Mary de Beauce. This sheet has published an article under the heading “Down with the Jews” in which the Goglu campaign received hearty endorsation and well wishes for a successful campaign against the Jews.
