Traditional Jews the world over will begin observance tonight of Tisha B’ab, the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Ab.
The day is associated with the final destruction of the kingdom of Judah, twenty-five centuries ago, and with the destruction of the Temple by the Romans under Titus more than 600 years later.
