Settlement of the strike of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, involving 20,000 workers, is seen in sight as a result of the agreement signed by 55 employers groups.

A total of 305 additional manufacturers have also come to terms according to an announcement made by Dr. Henry Moskowitz, the impartial chairman.

The contracts signed with the union grant the latter’s demand for a forty-four hour week, no wage slashes and no sweat shops.
