The League to Combat Anti-Semitism is making representations to government and Parliamentary circles to ease the difficulties confronting Jewish students from Roumania who seek matriculation at French universities.

According to the present regulations, it is necessary for a Roumanian student seeking entry in a French University, to bring a recommendation from a professor in a Roumanian institution of higher education. Since the Roumanian students are Jews for the most part and the professors in Roumanian institutions anti-Semitic also for the most part, the Jewish students are hindered.

The League has the support of a number of deputies and the Minister of Education in its effort to have this difficulty removed.
