Funeral services were held today at Temple Anshe Emeth for S. J. Rosenblatt, prominently identified with Jewish communal work for more than two decades, who died at the age of 64.

Mr. Rosenblatt succumbed to a long illness. Born in Frank-Memelhoff, a Baltic province, he came to the United States at the age of 17, settling in Chicago in 1905.

He was instrumental in the founding of the Hebrew Federated Charities and prominent in the development of the Maimonides Hospital.

His widow and three sons survive.
