The trial of Lippert Krause, editor of “Der Angriff,” Berlin Hitler organ, who is being sued for libel by Dr. Bernhard Weiss, ousted Jewish vice-president of the Berlin police department, opened here yesterday.

Dr. Weiss entered suit against Krause when the latter charged that in Paris he had been connected with disreputable institutions.

Dr. Weiss on the witness stand yesterday was able to prove the complete falsity of the allegations against him.

the only defense the Nazi editor has thus far offered is that he has already withdrawn the allegations.
