Conservative and Reform branches of American Jewry.

As in the past “Jewish Current Events” will continue to be issued in conjunction with the Associated Talmud Torahs of Philadelphia. Mr. Ben Rosen, Educational Director of the Associated Talmud Torahs, who initiated this publication and has supervised it since its inception will continue his association with the journal. It will be edited by David J. Galter, journalist and editorial writer and a member of the staff of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

The policy of strict impartiality and objectivity governing the Jewish Daily Bulletin will also obtain in the publication of “Jewish Current Events”, it being the aim of the publishers to place in the hands of the Jewish youth of America a weekly mirroring the life of our people the world over.

In a statement given out yesterday, Mr. Ben Rosen welcomed the taking over of “Jewish Current Events” by the Jewish Daily Bulletin. Mr. Rosen declared that the subject of “Jewish Current Events” has more than justified its inclusion in the program of modern Jewish educational institutions. Perhaps no other subject lends itself so effectively as a vehicle for integrating the youth into the life of the Jewish people.

Mr. Rosen further explained that because of its country-wide influence and contacts, the Jewish Daily Bulletin will be in a position to promote a much wider distribution of “Jewish Current Events” so that it may reach many thousands of homes into which the entrance of this publication will doubtless be received with as great favor as has been manifested in the past.

“The encouragement given us in the past five years,” Mr. Rosen said, “by leading educators, school principals, club directors and the consistent renewal of subscriptions over a period of five years by original subscribers, has convinced us of the definite place “Jewish Current Events” has in the life of the growing Jewish youth of America. It is my hope that by reason of the great resources of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, the promotion of this publication willl meet with ever-increasing favor and that the standards will be maintained on an even higher level than has been possible hitherto.

“The fact that during the five years of its existence, the “Jewish Current Events” has been maintained on a self-supporting basis augurs well for the stability of this publication and for the greater possibilities which are bound to materialize with the vitalizing influence of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.”

The twentieth anniversary of the founding of Isaiah Temple will be celebrated during the High Holyday services at the Pythian Temple.

Announcement of the celebration was made by Rabbi Samuel Greenfield, the founder.
