The English press yesterday devoted considerate space to a discussion of Sir Herbert Samuel’s possible resignation from the nationalist government.
The Sunday Express forecasts that Sir Herbert will resign and that the Marquess or Reading will replace him in office.
Other papers hold that Sir Herbert has yielded to the pleas of Premier MacDonald and Stanley Baldwin and will remain in office.
