A membership campaign for the New England Zionist Region was launched at a conference held here at the Hotel Statler and addressed by Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America, and Mrs. Archibald Silverman, who has recently returned from Palestine.
One thousand people attended the public reception, which was addressed in addition to Mr. Rothenberg and Mrs. Silverman by Rabbi H. H. Rubenovitz, and Judge Jacob J. Kaplan.
Hon. Elihu D. Stone, president of the New England Zionist Region, presided.
