The authorities of the University of Vienna are now conducting negotiations which will lead to assurances of the peaceful continuation of studies there.

Efforts are also being made to mediate the difficulties which arose yesterday at the Physiological Institute when American and Jewish students left in protest against the Nazi insistence they be seated in the galleries only.

The authorities are now endeavoring to arrange to seat Germans on the right side of the lecture halls with Socialists, Jews and Americans on the left, and a chain between them to prevent clashes.
