President Paul von Hindenburg seriously considered his resignation as the president of Germany on Saturday because of his anger over the inability of the Right parties to come to an agreement with regard to the Chancellorship.

This assertion is made today by “Der Deutsche,” official organ of the Christian trade unions.

The paper sees such an act on the part of the aged president as aiding the restoration of the monarchy.

Adolph Hitler, scheduled to meet General Kurt von Schleicher with regard to the formation of a cabinet, failed to appear today for the appointment.
