Alexander Goldstein, who will accompany Dr. Chaim Weizmann to the United States in the interests of Palestine Funds, was the guest of honor at a luncheon here today on the occasion of his return from South Africa where he conducted a successful campaign for the Palestine Foundation Fund.

The luncheon, which was arranged by the Jewish Agency Executive here, was addressed by Lady Erleigh, Mrs. Chaim Weizmann, Berl Locker and Major H. L. Nathan, member of Parliament.

A message of felicitation was received from Dr. Weizmann who is now on the continent. Mr. Goldstein will join Dr. Weizmann in Palestine prior to proceeding to the United States.

Lady Erleigh, who presided, lauded Mr. Goldstein’s South African work, pointing out that the campaign there had succeeded in securing one and one half pounds per capita. This, she said, is a stimulating challenge to American and English Jewry.
