The nine year old son of a Jewish colonist, Ch. Jakoby of Nahalal, succumbed in a Haifa hospital to injuries received when a bomb thrown by an unknown person exploded in their home on December 22nd.
The father, who is still in a hospital at Haifa, had his hand amputated.
All Nahalal suspended work yesterday to participate in the funeral services for the child which were turned into a demonstration against the recent outrages in various parts of Palestine.
The entire Hebrew press unites in demanding the reorganization of the Police Department in the Haifa District. The papers recall the outrages against Jews in Yajour and Kfar Hassidim and ascribe their occurrence to the leniency of the police.
Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, member of the Jewish Agency Executive in charge of political affairs, attended the funeral services and called upon the government to end the terror.
Nahum Sokolow, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, addressing a Chanukah celebration in Tel Aviv, referred to the bombing outrage and called upon the government to take steps to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
