National Organizations Pledge Support to “jewish Current Events”

Jewish educators throughout the country have expressed their approval of “Jewish Current Events”, Jewish youth publication issued by the Jewish Daily Bulletin Company, the advisory board of the organization, which met at the Jewish Theological Seminary on Wednesday, was informed.

Representatives of the Council of Jewish Women, the Independent Order Bnai Brith, the United Synagogue, and the Rabbinical Assembly of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America pledged their support to the publication and will undertake to promote its use among youth groups and clubs.

In the period since it was taken over by the Jewish Daily Bulletin Company, “Jewish Current Events” has more than doubled its circulation.

Among those who attended the meeting were: Theodore Badman of the Independent Order Bnai Brith; Israel S. Chipkin, Educational Director of the Jewish Education Association; Rabbi Samuel M. Cohen, executive director of the United Synagogue of America; Rabbi Leon S. Lang of the Rabbinical Assembly of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America; Mrs. Robert Weil; Albert P. Schoolman, of the National Council of Jewish Education : Jacob Landau, managing director of the Jewish Daily Bulletin ; Judah L. Lapson of the Bureau of Jewish Education ; David J. Galter, editor, David Rudavsky, executive director, and Isidore E. Krakower, Business Manager of “Jewish Current Events.”

Rabbi William F. Rosenblum of Temple Israel, New York City, addressed a Chanukah Rally held under the auspices of the Temple Brotherhood of Congregation Shaarai Shomayim, Lancaster, Pa. The meeting was opened by the president, I. Steinfeldt, and presided over by Rabbi Daniel L. Davis.
