Julius Jacobs, former officer of the Jewish Legion, and at present a District Officer in Jerusalem was appointed today assistant secretary to the Palestine High Commissioner.

Mr. Jacobs is the second Jew to be appointed to the Secretariat of the Palestine government. The other Jewish member of the secretariat is Max Nurock who was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire in the King’s New Year Honors.
