Professor Mittwoch has been appointed Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, replacing the late Professor Moritz Sobernheim, who died early this month.
Professor Sobernheim served as Councillor of the Ministry and its Rapporteur on Jewish Political Affairs. His successor will not take over his complete duties.
