Masada, the young men’s Zionist organization, in a campaign begun recently to establish 100 Masada chapters throughout the country, reports the founding of seven new units in Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, San Antonio, Texas, Canton, Ohio and an additional chapter in Cleveland.
Over 250 cities have been reached by the National Organization Committee, in charge of the campaign.
The charter organization is in Cleveland. It was established five years ago. Official recognition was granted at the Thirty-third Zionist Congress in 1930. It is open to young men between the ages of 18 to 30.
The National Organization Committee consists of J. Martin Kohn, chairman; Irving Hausman, First Vice-Chairman; Harvey Berman, Second Vice-Chairman; Joseph Poratah, Treasurer, and Bernard Guttow, Secretary. Headquarters are located in New York City.
