The Jewish quarter was unaffected by yesterday’s review of the National Socialist Storm Troops with Adolph Hitler in command.

The expected anti-Jewish riots failed to take place. The Jews remained indoors throughout the day, while police forces guarded Jewish homes.

The fears of the Jews have been aroused because the Nazi press called for a united front against Liebknecht-haus “where young Jews are provoking German workers.”

The demonstration was part of memorial exercises for Horst Wessel, author of the Nazi official battle anthem who was killed allegedly by Communists, in 1930.
