Youth Wounded by Police Succumbs in Havana

Berl Waxman, a Jewish youth who was wounded by the police on January 10th, in connection with a student demonstration, died yesterday from blood poisoning.

He is survived by a father and sister in New York. Waxman had been em###ed for years by Ben Dizik, former ###sident of the Jewish Center.

It is not known what disposition will be made of the body inasmuch as Waxman had been placed under military arrest and had been guarded while in the hospital. An autopsy is to be performed by order of the military commander, after which his body may be turned over to the Jewish burial society.
