B’nai Brith to Participate in Conference of Fraternal Orders

Participation of the B’nai Brith in the first annual conference of the Union of Jewish Fraternal Orders of Illinois on March 26 at the Hotel Sherman, was assured with the announcement that representatives of the grand lodge of the district will attend as observers.

In addition, Alfred M. Cohen, grand master of the B’nai Brith, and Dr. I. M. Rubinow, grand secretary, both of Cincinnati, have been invited to attend and address the conference.

Similar invitations have been sent to Isadore Apfel, Grand Master of the Independent Order of Brith Abraham, and Max L. Hollander, both of New York City; A. D. Bearman, of Memphis, grand master of the Progressive Order of the West, and Morris Shapiro, grand secretary of the Order, who is from St. Louis; Henry A. Rocker, of Cleveland, supreme commander of the Knights of Joseph, and D. J. Zinner, also of Cleveland, the Supreme Secretary of the order, and A. S. Kanengeiser, of Philadelphia, grand master of the Independent Order B’nai Sholem, and Martin O. Levy, Philadelphia, grand secretary.
