French Foreign Office Flooded with Applications for Visas from Germany

The Foreign Office here is flooded, it is stated, with applications from people in Germany, mostly Staatenlose, and many of them Jews, for visas to enable them to come to France. There is so much congestion, in consequence, that the department dealing with the matter is unable to cope with the work.
